The Paz Catalina Columbarium is a modern, iconic 14-level building with 13 floors above ground, to be built on a 2,840 sqm property at the corner of C.M. Recto Avenue and Tomas Mapua St. in Manila where it is said the proverbial "head of the dragon" lays. The structure shall have a celestial staircase, ceremonial chapels, a memorial plaque hall and incense suite with 10 floors solely dedicated to columbary vaults designed and zoned according to specific themes. The rooftop will have an open area, a meditation garden to conduct Filipino-Chinese practices and traditions including the burning of paper offerings on a cupola at the center. It will also have 3 parking levels, 2 above ground, with an entrance foyer at the ground level and a vaulted ceiling reception lobby on the 3rd floor.
The project is designed to have approximately 13,200 vaults each on floors 4,5,6,7,9 and 10 and between 8,000-11,000 vaults each on the premium family floors 8 and 11-13. It shall house an estimated 120,000 vaults once completed.
